Do Not Think Dishonestly

Self-deception is one of the most persistent training problems. A technique that works only because a cooperative partner freezes is not ready for confidence.

Honest feedback

Students should know the difference between learning speed, demonstration speed and resistant practice. Each has a purpose, but none should be mislabeled.

Historical honesty

The same rule applies to lineage. Respect for teachers does not require exaggerating dates, titles or connections. Accurate history is a form of respect.
