Tercell's Kenpo EmblemHistorical route: http://www.tracyskarate.com/History/tercell.htm Historical reconstruction: This page is stored locally. Where the original copyrighted page is not available for republication, the text is a locally authored reconstruction. Logos, patches and school emblems were part of the way early American martial-arts organizations created identity and continuity. Why emblems matteredA patch did more than decorate a uniform. It told students which school, association or lineage they belonged to at a time when organizations were expanding faster than national standards could form. An archival problemThe classic Tracy site preserved several emblem stories, but surviving copies of individual images and captions are uneven. Rather than invent missing design details, this reconstruction keeps the recovered title and treats the emblem as a research target for photographs, patches and dated certificates. What to look forUseful evidence includes period studio photographs, belt certificates, letterhead, tournament programs and patches with known owners. As these are recovered, they can be added here with dates and provenance. Tracy Legacy Web Site • historical reconstruction |
