1965 and Beyond

The Tracy story after the mid-1960s is one of scale: standardized teaching, instructor development, franchising and a national network.
Scaling instruction
Jim Tracy’s account describes the organization growing into a very large chain of schools. Whatever number is used for a particular year, the key historical fact is that Tracy’s became one of the major commercial martial-arts networks in North America.
Standardization
Expansion demanded instructor manuals, lesson sequences, rank requirements, school-management practices and a recognizable brand. The result was a form of martial-arts standardization that anticipated later franchise and association models.
Legacy after the chain
Even after the original business organization fragmented, instructors continued teaching Tracy material independently. The later Gathering of Eagles events demonstrated that the social network survived long after the peak expansion years.
