Studio Owners/Personal Trainers
We are now updating our section on studio locations.

If the current information is not correct, or you are not listed, please send the correct information to    patkenpo@aol.com   Be sure to indicate if you are a Studio Owner or Personal Trainer.

 Family tree update:

We have completely updated the family tree, including all the Shodan (1st black) promotions.

Since there are thousands of names - there many be some mistakes: (Spelling of name, dates etc.)

Check to make sure your promotions are correct. e-mail any corrections to patkenpo@aol.com  so Pat can update our Master Lists before we put them up on the web.

"Why don't I appear only the family tree?" Just because your instructor promoted you does not automatically put you on the family tree. Your promotion must be registered with Tracy's National Headquarters.

 Business updates:

Ignorance of the Law is no excuse! And it can be very costly:
You cannot use child labor (Anyone under 14) Nor can you use "slave labor", such as requiring any student to work or teach for free as requirements for any belt promotion.

Tracy's stated policy: we never use anyone under the age of 18 as instructors or assistant instructors.
Tracy's never requires any student of any age to teach for free as a requirement for any belt promotion.

For the past 20/30 years Tracy's has been the only source of authentic documentation and information on the true origin and history of Kenpo - especially the true history of James Mitose. We have hundreds of pages of documentation. To make sure this information was never lost, four different people have copies of this information. One of these people is Ted Sumner. Over the next few months Ted will be posting some of this documentation on his web site. Notice that none of the "Self appointed" Kenpo "Historians" have any of this critical and vital information. In fact most of our documented information is exactly the opposite of what the other "Kenpo guru's" have claimed. Click on the link below to take you to Ted's website. You may want to bookmark his site for all the latest updates.

HISTORICAL DOCUMENT:  There has been a lot of controversy and speculation as to how well Ed Parker knew James Mitose and over what period of time.. Here for the first time - in his own words in a personal letter Ed will clear up this part of history. I have added more historical information  (since I was there) to give you more insight into the history of Kenpo. Click here to get this information    The file is large so it may take a minute or two to load. I wanted you to be able to read the entire letter.
